Description: This medium nib, black Kaweco fountain pen features a 23ct gold-plated, steel nib and iridium tip. Kaweco have been successful in the writing market for decades, with the Kaweco Classic Sport their most popular pen. The Classic Sport closely follows an original 1935 octagonal design - 'Small in the pocket, large in the hand'. The oversized cap arrangement creates a small closed pen but a full length open pen. Closed, the pen is just 105mm long, open 135mm long. The barrel is 14mm in diameter (around the cap). The solid black resin and gold accents make this an eye catching addition to any writing set and it's small size means it can be carried with you at all times. The Classic Sport follows the original 1935 design and features the Kaweco logo in metal on the end of the cap. Review: This is a a great sized, screw cap fountain pen which fits nicely and safely in your pocket. I have found it to be a really good and reliable writer (nib lottery perhaps?). The ink is nice, and the medium nib is great for day to day writing tasks such as signing documents and making notes. It may be a little big for those who like spider trails in the margins of books, but for a medium size it is excellent. I highly recommend this pen, although the plastic does scratch readily when in the mere vicinity of a harder object!

Review: I've only given this three stars due to the fact that the item is clearly shown with a gold clip on the Amazon image which is not included on the delivered item. This really riles me as all the sellers must be aware of this and I don't think any of them declare it. I found out from a YouTube video after I'd ordered the pen. Unfortunately, the clip is not just a pretty embellishment but an integral part to the pen when used for drawing and sketching. It keeps the pen in place when not being used and stops the pen rolling away when laid down during use. I bought the clip separately from the same seller and it does make a difference to the feel of the pen in the hand and, of course, it does the other things I mentioned. The pen itself is very, very light and small but it writes and draws beautifully smoothly with this medium nib. It will take a bit of getting used to but I'm happy to give it the opportunity.... I've actually ordered a fine nib version (and clip!!) from the same seller.
