Review: Since I began using my Midori Traveler's Notebook I have used only Midori inserts. Yes they are expensive but the quality is just fantastic! Japanese paper is renown for it's compatibility with fountain pens, which I use with my Notebook, and this is the main reason why I buy these inserts. When it comes to inks, you will see some of the best results when it comes to colouration hue and sheen when using the likes of blue black inks and even great results when using J Herbin Emerald of Chivor. For the latter ink, the best paper to use is Tomoe River. Overall, I know it is the cheaper option for people to make their own inserts but if you want a luxury option of paper for your Traveler's Notebook then I can only fully recommend the Midori inserts. I use nothing else on the strength of their quality.

Review: Paper is very thin, can barely even hold glue. Inks, paints even pencils cast shadows or soak through. You can get better quality things at the pound shop. Would only use for light pencil sketches or as a practice book but not for anything more than that
