Description: Under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, it is an offence to sell knives, knife blades, Corrosive Products or any other product that may be perceived as an offensive weapon, to persons under the age of 18. Upon delivery, you will be asked to verify your age with a photo driving licence, passport or a proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme. Jakar has designed this Mount Cutter for cutting mount boards at a 45 degree angle or a 90 degree angle depending on what your project calls for. When using the mount cutter you should always use the Jakar aluminium ruler in tandem with it, because in order to achieve a 45 degree angle the ruler needs to be placed on the outside of the aperture. However for the 90 degree angle you need to place the ruler on the inside of the aperture. In total the Mount Cutter has 2 blades for cutting and in case of accidents there are 3 spares so you have no worries. The blades have the ability to cut materials up to 7mm in thickness so it should deal with most cards and foam sheets. Review: Straight forward to use but blades don't last long.

Review: First of all, I didn't think I was an idiot. I thought ignore the bad reviews and give it a go. Huge error of judgement! OK, I then had to buy the special ruler as the cutter is useless without it. I found both very difficult to use and the cutter would not slide with the ruler. A tiny squirt of silicone spray did the trick. However, the practice goes I had on spare mounts were awful. Nothing was straight as either the mount slipped or the ruler did. I needed a lot of pressure to try and cut even a vertical line, and then the cut was not completely through the mount, I had to finish it off with a scalpel. The 45 degree cuts were simply impossible. I'm returning both ruler and cutter.
