Description: Italeri 2622 Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor Aircraft 1:48 Scale. Skill level: 4. Model Length: 28.9 cm. This is an Italeri 1/48 scale plastic model kit that comes with the latest modifications, decals for HMX-1, optional position loading ramp, and optional position engine positions. The V-22 Osprey convertiplane is now being distributed to evaluation divisions of the US Navy and Marines to define piloting and use methods for this new, revolutionary aircraft. Thanks to its large, swing-rotors, the Osprey is able to take off and lands just like a helicopter. Once off the ground, thanks to the rotation of its engines, it flies like a normal plane, reaching the speed and range hitherto unheard of for a traditional chopper. The V-22 is set to replace the old CH-46s as a transport and assault aircraft for the Marines, and in future, it will be used for the Special Forces' aviation too. Italeri's new kit is a scale modelers dream, it's the US Marines Aviation Development Aircraft, with detail and accuracy both inside the fuselage and out. Detailed cockpit, rotors landing gear and hatches are all there and the model can be built with the engine nacelles in vertical or horizontal position. Precise painting instructions and accurate decal set complet the kit. (Crew not included). Starter Paint Pack Includes:5 x 17ml Vallejo model paints. Vallejo paints are supplied in plastic bottles of 17ml with an eyedropper device which keeps paint from drying and prevents spills. The model color range has been specifically developed for adherence on difficult surfaces such as metal and plastic, but the product is not toxic, not flammable, and does not give off noxious fumes. Please note: The paint packs offered are only our suggestion from the box art and will not match directly with the instructions found within the kit.
