Review: Easel was used for displaying large canvas photographs at family funeral. Ideal because they were light, compact and easy to assemble. The price of the easels was very reasonable too at a time when costs for a funeral were high .

Review: This was the best of the bunch according to my web research but even so has a serious design weakness (as, probably, do the others). Although described as a Field Easel it is not usable in anything more than a light breeze because the canvas/board acts as a sail and it blows over so it is necessary to employ the usual trick of hanging a weight under it (I hung a collapsible seat in it's carrying case from the 'head block'). The head block that holds the legs and top post is made of plastic. Even with the weighting a gust of wind blew the easel sideways and as it went down it twisted and the head block cracked open. There is no point in returning it for replacement as the same thing would happen again. I have resorted to superglue for the large crack and tying twine around the head block, also with superglue, to strengthen it. The head block really needs to be made of a cast metal or machined metal. Of course that would increase the price.
