Description: The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang is an American long-range, single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II and the Korean War, among other conflicts. The P-51 is widely regarded as the finest all-around piston-engined fighter of World War II to be produced in significant numbers. The British had experimented with Mustangs fitted with the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, and they discovered that the Merlin's efficient mechanical supercharger gave the fighter outstanding high-altitude performance, thus the P-51 was born. This model kit contains 38 parts. Airfix QUICK BUILD is an exciting range of brick-based models suitable as an introduction to modelling for any age of 6 and up. The pre-coloured pieces simply push together to build an impressive model which can then be decorated with the included self-adhesive stickers. No paint or glue is needed to make these fantastic models look like the real thing, and once completed there's no evidence of any of the brick fittings showing. When built they are tough enough to be used as toys, or smart enough to use as display models. Either will show off those great modelling skills!
