This fabric is beautifully soft and drapey with a subtle sheen. Not to be confused with satin, sateen has a lustrous finish but it is not shiny. It is light and breathable and wonderfully soft. Lenzing Ecovero viscose is derived from renewable wood sources using an eco responsible production process. The responsible production of Lenzing Ecovero fibres uses at least 50 percent less water and emits at least 50 percent less CO2 compared to generic viscose fibres, thereby saving precious resources for future generations. Being cellulose fibres, they are biodegradable and naturally return to nature after disposal. This fabric is really versatile and is the perfect choice for sewing tops, blouses, skirts, dresses, jumpsuits, summer trousers, shorts and more. At 90 grams per square metre, this fabric is classed as a light weight. In most colourways it should not require lining depending on the style of garment, on lighter colour prints you may wish to line it or wear a slip underneath for more fitted styles.
